Last night I got the privilege to have a long talk with an old friend. Sometimes when you think people are drifting out of your life an old friend appears. This friend and I, we didn't have a bad ending or anything our life's just got busy and little out of control. We had kept running into each other around town and laughed because we blamed each other for following one another. I learned that we both are in that stage of our life's where we are growing up but not all of our friends are doing the same. I have so many stories from high school about us. The main one that sticks out the most is at the end of my senior year we had to act out someone in the classroom and everyone had to guess who we were. With out even know we tried to be each other. It was very comical. When it came to acting me out he was very dramatic, laughed a lot, and used his hands while he was talking. If you know me that was pretty spot on. We had tons of nicknames for each other and always watched each others backs. We were drama kids so we all spent a lot of time together and got really close. We had many late night play practices and of course the annual IHOP trips after show nights. In class we had a lot of laughs and tears. We saw each other stressed, happy, sad, and everything else you can think of. There was the typical who is dating who gossip and "she said what about me?" talks. We were like a small family and of course I was the mother of group. I love memories like this... memories that are tucked way back there but when they reappear sometimes they are even funnier than what they were at the time. Don't be afraid to check on an old friends. You truly never know what will happen just by giving someone a call or even texting them. I have truly been blessed when it comes to friends.
On another note I had a wild idea to Audition for the OKC Thunder's Storm Chasers. The audition was amazing and I met a lot of wonderful people. I didn't make the team but I did learn that I miss acting and being in front of crowds. I have to remind myself sometimes that you are never to old to still follow your dreams. It takes hard work but believe me it is worth it in the end even if you don't make it. I now I went out and tried my best! I also know that God has this amazing plan for my life and I don't even know the half of it. Do you have a dream? An old friend you want to check on? Just do it! Don't be afraid of the outcome! You won't know anything until you try!
